Re: CTR and OR - what is "normal"?

<r>Hi Rob,

To me those numbers seem low.

A 19% open rate could mean your emails are going to spam folders. Are you using a reputable email system that's known for high inboxing rates?
Or it could mean people aren't interested in hearing from you, for any number of reasons...

Re: Anybody tried AI Tools?

I'm not sure how much this opinion is worth coming from a newb but personally, it feels like learning/playing the guitar on Guitar Hero. The biggest advantage for me was saving time, have something whip up really quickly based on a set of requirements and voila! An article that you can run through a...

Re: The Key to Great Copywriting

Thank you so much for this wonderful series of copywriting. I read a lot of books discussing things about copywriting, but I need something to act as my guide whenever I want to recall those lessons that I read. I started reading this series of fundamentals and I'm printing it right now and pasting ...

Vintage VW Ads Are Still #1

I still remember seeing classic print ads like these in old stacks of National Geographics my dad left up in the attic. I think it was the first time I ever took notice of advertising and realised that they could actually be amusing and clever. And as I learned more about marketing and branding I so...

Re: Anybody tried AI Tools?

I've mainly used Jarvis and looking at other alternatives also - any ideas please do share guys. Still haven't found a tool that truly delivers on its promise. I'm currently using it for work where there's a need to scale up content output and, while skeptical to begin with, I do believe the technol...

Gary Halbert

I'm surprised that Gary Halbert hasn't been added to the a-list copywriter section
But instead of asking why not, I'll say here it is.

Re: Suitable cold email?

Hello TCC,

Don't sweat it. Test the marketplace. Put your message out there.

The only way you're going to know for sure how effective your copy is, you've got to send it.

Then measure your open, clickthrough, and responses.

You need no one's permission.

Just Do It!

Re: Website-building tips and SEO

I was wondering if I might ask for more general advice about SEO content Hi Copycat, Here's a few tips I use to write keyword optimized content for SEO 1 - Your main keyword should be at the beginning, in the first sentence if possible. For copywriter in UK you could start your post with "If y...

Re: What is the most important part to copywriting?

Hello Copyking, Steve has given you a perfect 3-Step outline above. Based on his recommendations let's assume you are asked to write a sales letter about Heinz Ketchup. Step 1. Do your Market research - Find out everything you can on who buys, uses, and refuses to use the product. Step 2. Do your Pr...

Hello Copywriters

Hello Copywriters Forum, I'm glad I found a forum I can be apart of and contribute to. My writing career spans nearly 30 years. I still research and write for digital marketing agencies recognized by Google, Forbes, FedEx, TechCrunch, Certified Storybrand, and They Ask You Answer. Over the years, I'...

Re: The crucial ingredient to winning sales copy

This is true for content writing as well as sales copy.
I see so many articles where it appears the author forgot who their reader was.

Grammarly

I sometimes use Grammarly to double check proper grammar. It's not perfect but it helps a lot.

Re: How often to email list?

Here's an article I read last week with some case studies for email sending rates. (not an affiliate link) https://jilt.com/blog/email-marketing-frequency/ One study looked at subscriber complaints and open rates based on different weekly email frequencies. Findings: Return Path concluded the number...
